Having come into rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 7, by 16 Alla Nazarova (Zasukhina) went to
her first World Championship. All in all, she has participated in 4 World Championships: 4th
place in 1969, 2nd place in 1971 and 1st place in 1973. She holds the titles of Overall Champion
of the USSR and Champion of Russia.
In addition to a 16 year competitive career, Alla Nazarova has been coaching for over 30 years.
For 5 years she was the Head Coach of the Russian National Team in Group Exercise.

Each year under her direction her gymnasts won the title of the Champions of the USSR. Later on many of them have become World Champions.
Together with her husband - Vladimir Nazarov (Three Time World Champion in Acrobatics),
she organized “Soviet Stars of World Gymnastics” Theater, the troupe which
consisted of World Champions in rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatics. As the Art Director,
Alla Nazarova has visited England, China, Japan as well as had multiple performances
in Russia.
In her native city of Astrakhan (Russia) she held the position of Director of the Specialized
Olympic Reserve School of Rhythmic Gymnastics. Her students:
Yana Dmitrienko:
- 1st place at the World Cup in Japan (1986)
- 2nd place at the World Championship in group exercise (1987)
Irina Chapligina:
- 3rd place Junior at the Europe Championship in Greece (1997)
- Champion of Russia in group exercise (1999)
